Economics

Economics studies how consumers, firms and governments make decisions that together determine how resources are allocated. An appreciation of economics helps to make sense of government policy-making, the conduct of businesses and the enormous changes in economic systems which are occurring throughout the world.

CI's Economics Department is one of the largest in the world. It has an outstanding international reputation based on its research and publications and is acknowledged as the leading faculty in Europe. The size of the Department ensures that all the mainstream areas of Economics are strongly represented in research and teaching.
